Information: This research facility is located in Lincoln, NM., and focuses on the Lincoln County War and Lincoln County history. It was established by Ms. Nora Henn (deceased), a 45 year resident of Lincoln, who during her life was known as the resident historian of Lincoln. Information: The HGRC maintains and presents online the Great New Mexico Pedigree Database (GNMPD) using the WebTrees software. WebTrees allows multiple operators to input genealogical data that is available for viewing in real time. Much of the data and many features presented by WebTrees are available to the general public. More details and features are available to the registered user. Registration for a username and password is an easy process initiated by selecting "Login" on the WebTrees page. The GNMPD in its original format will continue to be maintained for some time with considerable time lag.

Information: Founded on December 26, 1859, the Historical Society of New Mexico is the oldest historical society west of the Mississippi River. During the Civil War, it suspended activities, but soon resumed its role in preserving New Mexico’s history. During the territorial period (1851-1912), its members included merchants, educators, lawyers, and politicians. Many of its members published historical accounts of the Spanish, Mexican and American periods.
