Training Description

This course is being offered to provide training and guidance on basic records management principles and best practices, when implementing a records management program. Course topics may include record access and security; file maintenance systems; determination of official copy of record; records classification in relation to the Functional Records Retention Schedule, etc. In addition, information will be provided on the process requirements to utilize services provided by the Commission of Public Records. Class size is limited to 30 people, we are not accepting walk-ins to the course. If there are less than five individuals signed up for this training 72 hours prior to the class, the training will be cancelled and rescheduled for another date. This training is for state employees only.
