Training Description

**FREE to high school and college students** This session will include a review of the material covered in session one; an introduction to general genealogical research concepts and terms; a unit on effectively utilizing paper records, such as church, census, county, and other local documents; a unit dealing with microfilm resources; as well as how to use general online databases, specifically separating the good from the bad sources. This will culminate in a discussion of how to build the family tree and what resources can aid one in constructing it. Presenter Henrietta Christmas is a well-known local author, historian, and genealogist who has worked for many years with the Historical Society of New Mexico.
